The chase wasn’t big, South Africa lost their skipper Bavuma (2) in the very first over. Fine partnership (57 runs) between Hendricks and Van Der Dussen helps stable the chase. When West Indies were coming back in the game, Markram’s 26 balls 51 runs took the game away from West Indies. Van Der Dussen played a slow inning (43 runs off 51 balls) but the chase wasn’t big so he could afford that. Eventually, South Africa beat West Indies by 8 wickets with 10 balls to spare.

South Africa register their first victory in the T20 World Cup 2021. For now, West Indies are at the bottom of the table with two losses, and with a poor net run rate, it will be very difficult for them to qualify for the semis.
