Anime

Anime (which means animation in Japanese) refers to any type of animation from Japan or anywhere else in the world that is based on Japanese animation styles, themes and genres. Anime has been around for quite some time, with the first anime dating back to 1917, but it wasn’t until the 1960s and 1970s that anime became popular with Western audiences, particularly through televised broadcasts and movies, as well as manga (Japanese comics). Since then, anime has exploded into mainstream culture not only in Japan but around the world, giving birth to a multitude of subgenres.

Whether it’s their fighting prowess, their creative abilities, or just because they’re so darn adorable, anime characters are often fun to watch. Each has a special quality that makes them unique and memorable. Not all shows has to be intense or dramatic, but it can be just as sophisticated and thought-provoking as any other art form. Furthermore, some of these shows are downright silly and lighthearted, which allows you to unwind and have fun after a long day. It’s also a great way to develop your sense of humor. 

There are many shows that deal with deep, emotional issues such as depression, bullying, and even rape. These shows have helped many people who’ve faced similar situations in real life. It can be enjoyed by all ages: You don’t need to be an adult to enjoy anime. In fact, there are some series targeted towards children that adults can also find entertaining and relatable. On top of that, there are plenty of anime geared towards adults (hentai) which some kids might not understand or appreciate.

Many anime characters have an amazing ability to overcome adversity. The way that they deal with difficult situations teaches us valuable life lessons like teamwork, persistence, and courage. In fact, you may never want to watch television again once you realize how inspiring some of these shows can be.
