T20 World Cup 2021, Bangladesh opted to bat first against England. Bangladesh had a disastrous start, they lost Liton Das (9), Naim (5), Shakib (4) in the powerplay (27-3). Rahim (29), Mahmudullah (19) tried to recover the inning but part timer Livingstone get rid of them. Tail-ender Nasum Ahmed (19) hit a couple of big shots towards the end and help Bangladesh post 124-9.
A complete disastrous performance from Bangladesh batters but credit goes to England bowlers. Chris Woakes (1 for 12), Moeen (2 for 18) was brilliant, destroyed Bangladesh’s top order. Livingstone (2 for 15) broke the partnership and Tymal Mills (3 for 27) in the death overs gave no chance for Bangladesh batters.
Chasing 125 was never seemed to be threatening and both openers kick start the inning with fire. Buttler (18) played a small cameo before Nasum Ahmed gets him. Jason Roy (61) gave no chance to Bangladesh bowlers to take a grip. Malan (28) played the anchor role and help England beat Bangladesh easily by 8 wickets. England and Pakistan are looking very dangerous in these conditions, a challenge for other teams.
Nothing much from Bangladesh bowlers, they already lost the game in first inning with their poor batting. Things are becoming harder for Bangladesh in T20 World Cup 2021 to qualify for semis.
